Back When It Was OK To Sing Religious Songs In School

When I was a kid, we sang religious songs in public school. (GASP!!!)

Amazing but true – we survived and my guess, are better off for it.

One we sang every Hanukkah was a tune titled, Dreidel.  Barenaked Ladies released a “holiday” cd that celebrates both Hanukkah and Christmas (Barenaked for the Holidays.) They covered Dreidel — which my guess they sang when they were kids too.

Anyway, Hannukah starts tonight – so I’ll feature the BNL version of Dreidel. I’m also featuring one from the Leevees titled, “How Do You Spell Channukkahh.” (Great tune — if you sign up for their mailing list you can download it for free!)
