First Official Christmas Music Post of 2016

Welcome back everyone and Merry Christmas. This blog started on Facebook nearly a decade ago. I then dropped off Facebook and started blogging via wordpress (which is where I remain today). I am back on Facebook — I post each WP  entry to that page. You can follow me over there if it’s easier.

Also, on this page, you can search my Christmas music postings all the way back to 2010. YouTube has changed their copyright enforcement dramatically since then so some of the links to videos I’ve featured are dead. Most still exist and here’s a ton of really good stuff in the archives. If you find a dead link just google the song and artist – it should come up in some form.

I’ll get 2016 started with a tune titled Ho Ho Hopefully by a band called The Maine.

The Maine is an Arizona based band formed in 2007. Their second release was a holiday EP titled,  …And a Happy New Year. It’s a four-song EP featuring three tunes penned by the band and a cover of Wham’s Last Christmas.

Ho Ho Hopefully is a catchy pop tune that also features the band, Brighten. I featured them way back on December 26th of 2014.

“December 1st
I’m in a foreign state, I’m running late
I’m all alone, wishing I was home with you baby
She’s got a way of making things okay when she’s not around
When she’s not around I’m going crazy
We like to talk about the plans we make
And things we say
When we’re together I hope for better weather this year
But you my dear need to know
This year I want you alone”
