Featuring Renee Fleming’s New Christmas CD, Christmas In New York.

Renee Fleming is an amazingly talented American opera singer whose list of accolades are much too long to list here.

She released a Christmas CD this November, titled, Christmas In New York. The release features pop, broadway and jazz greats Chris Botti, Kurt Elling, Wynton Marsalis, Brad Mehldau, Kelli O’Hara, Gregory Porter and Rufus Wainwright (although the Wainwright tune kind of sticks out as the one that doesn’t belong on the record).

She covers several Christmas standards including Silver Bells, Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas — Fleming brings life to these songs as few can.

There are also several original tunes on this recording. Tonight I’ll feature two of those, Central Park Serenade and Who Knows Where The Time Goes.
