Hanukkah Starts Tonight at Midnight (so tomorrow actually) — How Do You Spell Channukkahh?

Hannukah begins at midnight tonight.

Quick story, I was in grade school in the early 60’s — and we actually learned and sang religious songs (GASP!! How DID we ever survive!!!).  One song we sang during Hanukkah was “I Have A Little Dreidel.’  Last year, I featured the Barenaked Ladies version of Dreidel — you can watch it here.

This year I’m going to feature a band called The Leevees. They all are named LeeVee — other than their keyboard player who is named Shank Bone Mystic. (And in reality, none of them are named LeeVee.) They do write clever and funny songs with themes of growing up and being Jewish. Tonight I’m featuring “How Do You Spell Channukkahh?”

So.. Happy Hanukkah (I’m going with that spelling) to all of my Jewish friends most of whom I’ve known since those days when they, like me, didn’t like singing ANY songs in grade school music class.
